Do you like to exercise and play outdoors? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research study that looks at the connection between outdoor recreation and public health.
Friends of the Chicago River is partnering with the University of Illinois School of Public Health on a multiyear research study called CHEERS - Chicago Health, Environmental Exposure and Recreation Study.
The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is funding the study. The CHEERS research team will track the health of people before and after they recreate on the river. The CHEERS team will be at five canoe trips this season.
Interested in participating? Learn more at CHEERS or sign up for a trip today.
